What you will do

• Lead the global indirect tax accounting and compliance lifecycle, including GL maintenance and timely filings.
• Review and prepare calculations for property, sales, gross receipts, use, franchise, and digital service taxes.
• Manage global external tax service providers and lead indirect tax audits, coordinating responses and documentation.
• Evaluate and enhance indirect tax processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Research technical indirect tax issues and monitor evolving laws and regulations.
• Execute tax-related internal controls and maintain supporting documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree (MST/JD/LLM) is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in public accounting or industry with meaningful US indirect tax exposure.
• Strong hands-on experience with US state and local indirect tax compliance, tax accounting, and audit defense.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large volumes of structured data.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Effective communication skills to explain tax requirements to non-tax stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GST and VAT.
• Experience with NetSuite and hirify.global products.
• Experience using AI and AI-related technologies in business workflows.
