Engineer - Site Reliability

What you will do

• Manage configuration changes and implementations across production, disaster recovery, and certification trading platforms.
• Respond to production incidents during US global trading hours, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation with engineering and operations teams.
• Monitor and optimize high-availability, low-latency bare-metal infrastructure, including Linux systems, hardware, and kernel-bypass networking.
• Analyze order entry, market data, matching engine logs, and database information using SQL to investigate issues and support data requests.
• Drive capacity planning and participate in weekend testing, failover exercises, and follow-the-sun on-call support.
• Develop, test, and maintain Python tools for automation and process improvement, including the use of AI to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in technical operations and software engineering, systems, network, or database administration.
• Experience with UNIX shell, SQL, and Python, C++, or another programming language.
• Fluent English in written and spoken communication is required.
• Ability to work independently, provide precise incident communication, and support teams across time zones.
• Familiarity with European markets and US equities, options, or futures market structures is preferred for the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with low-latency trading platforms, Linux kernel tuning, or Solarflare/Onload networking.
