Cyber Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Arlington, VA, United States; onsite support required

Salary: $64,000–$128,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and expertise.

What you will do

• Design, troubleshoot, implement, and integrate software code, applications, and services.
• Develop and maintain software stacks for on-premises and cloud-based tools and services.
• Investigate production issues involving software applications and pipeline workflows.
• Research, test, and integrate new products based on user and mission requirements.
• Automate deployments, testing, and builds using Ansible, Terraform, Git-CI, and related infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Work in Linux- and container-heavy environments, including OpenShift, RHEL, AlmaLinux, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required; TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability is required.
• At least 2 years of directly relevant application development experience, or a high school diploma with 4–6 years of directly relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Operational experience with Python and Linux terminals, secure software development lifecycle practices, RESTful architecture, software automation, and data ETL workflows.
• Experience with containers and infrastructure as code, including Kubernetes, Docker, Redshift, Ansible, Git-CI, CloudFormation, and Terraform; strong customer communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with JSON, data analytics, MongoDB, MinIO, Vue, React, HTML, Podman, OpenShift, AWS, View Jazz Framework, process automation, or CI/CD.
• CSSLP or Security+ certification.
• TS/SCI clearance.
