What you will do

• Develop and advocate company positions on federal regulatory matters, specifically focusing on FCC regulations and industry policy.
• Perform legal analysis to identify regulatory risks, compliance considerations, and matters of strategic importance.
• Prepare concise written analyses and recommend courses of action regarding federal legislative proposals and regulatory developments.
• Represent the company before the FCC and other regulatory bodies through written advocacy, oral presentations, and strategic engagement.
• Advise business leaders on the impact of federal telecom policies on operations, transactions, acquisitions, and contracts.
• Engage with telecommunications industry groups and policy organizations within the Washington, D.C. regulatory environment.

Requirements

• JD degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
• Minimum of four years of legal experience.
• Admission to an appropriate Bar Association.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Washington, DC.
• Ability to work additional hours on weekends or holidays when necessary to meet regulatory deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Prior experience working in a law firm or directly with the FCC.
• Familiarity with federal legislative and regulatory processes.
• Relevant telecom industry or job-specific certifications.
