Senior Software Engineer (PHP/AWS)

What you will do

• Maintain and improve core data infrastructure that processes product usage and customer account data.
• Build reliable ingestion, transformation, and availability workflows with AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, and related data lake and ETL tooling.
• Modernize a mature Laravel codebase using Hexagonal Architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
• Integrate internal systems with billing, CRM, payment, and other third-party platforms.
• Maintain customer-facing account management interfaces built with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, sprint ceremonies, and collaboration across time zones.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern PHP and Laravel.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, including MySQL or similar systems, and data modeling.
• Extensive experience with data engineering lifecycle, including ingestion, data lakes, and ETL.
• Extensive AWS cloud infrastructure experience, such as EC2, RDS, S3, or Lambda.
• Experience with REST API integrations, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, legacy systems, and pragmatic technical-debt reduction.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
• Experience with Zuora, HubSpot, Salesforce, or other billing, CRM, and CPQ platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Pulumi, or similar infrastructure tools.
• Familiarity with Scrum, Agile, or Kanban methodologies.
