What you will do

• Design and implement GraphQL APIs to provide unified data access across multiple systems.
• Lead the expansion of semantic API architecture, including schema design and data normalization strategies.
• Establish data governance and security practices for semantic API layers.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to integrate various data sources and transformation patterns.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on GraphQL and serverless best practices.
• Drive quality improvements through code reviews, schema validation, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA (Remote, TX).
• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience, with 3-5 years focused on API architecture.
• Expert-level proficiency in GraphQL and AWS AppSync (schema design, resolvers, subscriptions).
• At least 5 years of AWS experience with Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in Node.js for building batch Lambda resolvers and proficiency in Python.
• Strong SQL knowledge (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle) and experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB).

• AWS Certifications.
