What you will do
- Lead the creation of robust data platforms using Data Lakehouse architectures and the Azure ecosystem (Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Power BI).
- Design and implement scalable data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics layers.
- Architect Microsoft Fabric reporting solutions, establishing medallion layering and managing capacity planning.
- Enforce data-layer segregation to exclude PII and maintain multi-tenant isolation and regulated data retention policies.
- Lead complex migration efforts from legacy systems (AirTable, Smartsheet) to Microsoft Fabric.
- Oversee the development of AI-ready data pipelines to feed scrubbed data to embeddings, vector stores, and GenAI tools.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in data engineering and business intelligence.
- Hands-on expertise (min 2 years) with Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
- Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT workflows and automation.
- Deep understanding of Data Lakehouse concepts, medallion architecture, and dimensional modeling.
- Proven track record of leading analytics projects as a player-coach.
- Must be based in Mexico.
