What you will do

• Lead and scale a team of security and software engineers responsible for core security capabilities.
• Own the Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategy across workforce, infrastructure, and production environments.
• Build scalable authorization, authentication, access governance, and secrets management systems.
• Develop a security tooling ecosystem to empower engineering teams in identifying and preventing security issues.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Platform, and Compliance teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle.
• Define long-term technical architecture and roadmaps for foundational security services.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software, infrastructure, or security engineering experience.
• Significant leadership experience managing managers and senior engineers.
• Experience building and operating large-scale identity and access management systems.
• Strong background in production-grade platforms and developer-facing infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and modern application architectures.
• Must be based in San Francisco.

• Experience building production IAM platforms at scale.
• Proven track record of scaling engineering organizations during periods of rapid growth.
• Experience in cloud-native, developer-platform, or highly regulated enterprise environments.
