Senior Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Location: Business Centre "Labirint", 5th Floor, Liulin 10 District, Sofia, Bulgaria

Base salary: €32,500–€52,000 per year, excluding bonuses, benefits, and other remuneration.

What you will do

• Support application and customer deployments across cloud platforms and infrastructure.
• Monitor system status, performance, capacity, elasticity, and operational activity.
• Respond to incidents requiring platform-level or application-level intervention and participate in a weekly on-call rotation.
• Manage cloud compute and storage resources, system patches, updates, assets, and licenses.
• Coordinate daily operations with vendors and monitor service-level performance.
• Act as a cloud operations subject matter expert, deputize for the Cloud Operations Manager, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience with both AWS and Microsoft Azure public cloud services.
• At least 5 years of experience with Linux and/or Windows Server.
• Experience in a cloud or Software as a Service environment, including SQL Server and other database technologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols, technologies, and LAN/VLAN configurations.
• Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, incident-management, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience serving as a principal subject matter expert, escalating issues to vendors or consultants, and transferring knowledge to team members.

Nice to have

• Skills in prompting AI systems and assessing output quality.
• Ability to use AI to ideate, develop, and scale solutions for departmental needs.
