Staff Data Scientist (Crypto)

Location: Hybrid, with managers and teams deciding which 10+ days per month employees come into the office.

What you will do

• Serve as the data science technical lead across multiple product and business teams, including Treasury, Markets, Custody, and XRPL.
• Partner with product and business leads to define analytics strategy, investment priorities, and success measures.
• Build reusable frameworks for product and network health metrics, causal inference, liquidity and adoption models, and forecasting.
• Apply LLMs and agentic workflows to accelerate insight generation, automate routine analysis, and enable self-service exploration.
• Evaluate growth across customers, corridors, and on-chain activity, identifying causal drivers of adoption and volume.
• Set analytical standards, communicate executive-ready narratives, and mentor data scientists across embedded teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science or quantitative analysis with senior-level impact across multiple teams.
• Technical leadership experience across cross-functional teams, including influence on roadmaps and strategy.
• Experience designing reusable analytics and measurement frameworks that scale across products.
• Hands-on experience applying AI to analytics workflows, including agentic analysis, AI-assisted insight generation, or natural-language data interfaces.
• Deep expertise in experimentation, causal inference, forecasting, and statistical modeling in a product environment.
• Expertise in Python or R, fluency in SQL, and experience with large-scale data technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, Airflow, or dbt.
• Experience in fintech, payments, crypto, or blockchain data.
• Advanced degree such as an MS or PhD in a quantitative field.
