Location: Must be based in New York, New York. This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of four days per week in the office.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 yearly

What you will do

• Edit video packages and graphic elements for live broadcasts under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with producers and correspondents to research and write strong editorial copy.
• Pitch timely and compelling ideas for daily and future segments.
• Perform quality checks on all video content.
• Keep senior producers and the EP updated on news developments.
• Work closely with the production team, anchors, and correspondents.

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to work in New York, New York.
• Must be willing and able to work an 8am-4pm ET, Monday – Friday shift.
• 2+ years of experience in broadcast, streaming, or cable news.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to work calmly under intense deadlines.
• Proficiency in digital video editing.

Nice to have

• Experience shooting in the field on DSLR cameras.
• Proficiency in Avid and Premiere.
• Familiarity with iNEWS.
• Thorough knowledge of current events.
