• Write and edit high-impact copy for headlines, alerts, and social platforms.
• Develop and iterate on distribution playbooks to grow the weekend audience.
• Analyze traffic and engagement data using tools like Chartbeat and Google Analytics to optimize best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a digital newsroom.
• Must be based in New York (Hybrid: 4+ days in office).
• Strong understanding of the social ecosystem and SEO best practices.
• Proficiency with newsroom tools including Chartbeat, Parse.ly, Google Trends, and SocialFlow.
• Proven ability to lead teams and make critical editorial decisions independently under pressure.
