Compensation: $208,500 – $284,025 + Equity

What you will do

• Build, grow, and manage a team of embedded engineers, owning hiring, performance, and team culture.
• Partner with technical leads on embedded software architectural decisions, testing frameworks, and safety requirements.
• Manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships with electrical, controls, and hardware teams.
• Own program execution across the embedded engineering lifecycle, ensuring accountability from architecture through field implementation.
• Drive organizational alignment on embedded software strategy through documentation and standards.

Requirements

• Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.
• Must be able to comply with U.S. export controls; no visa sponsorship available.
• 8+ years of industry experience in embedded software, including system-level architecture and low-level programming.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Deep proficiency in embedded C/C++.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders in fast-paced, hardware-intensive environments.

Nice to have

• Experience leading teams working with Zephyr RTOS.
• Experience overseeing Simulink Autocode C++ export in a production context.
• Experience managing large, multi-target embedded builds using CMake.
• Experience in safety-critical or high-reliability domains (aerospace, defense, medical, nuclear, or industrial).
