Location: Must be based in Seattle, WA (Onsite). Due to ITAR regulations, candidates must be U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, or protected individuals).

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 + equity

What you will do

• Create embedded software architecture for real-time, fault-tolerant control of 20kW+ spacecraft.
• Develop and extend low-level software for new and existing satellite hardware.
• Scale software infrastructure and development processes across multiple product lines.
• Debug complex hardware/firmware issues using JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Mentor a diverse team of engineers and establish embedded software best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development using Rust, C, or C++.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller memory subsystems, instruction pipelines, and DMA controllers.
• Proven ability to debug complex hardware/firmware issues.
• Experience collaborating closely with hardware engineering teams.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rust in hard real-time or bare-metal/RTOS environments.
• Background in spacecraft flight software development.
• Experience developing peripheral drivers without vendor software.
• Knowledge of software verification, testing methods, and hardware-in-the-loop systems.
• Experience with fault-tolerant software design.
