What you will do

• Perform engineering calculations to compute stresses developed in crane runway structures.
• Evaluate the static/dynamic strength and fatigue life of structural steel runway structures for the US and Canada.
• Utilize RISA 3D, vendor software, and in-house analytical tools to perform structural calculations.
• Ensure compliance with AISC, ASCE, CSA, CMAA, and IBC codes, including seismic conditions.
• Provide expert technical support for troubleshooting issues during installation, commissioning, or warranty periods.
• Assist sales teams with design options during the quotation phase of complex projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification with plans or desire to obtain a PE license.
• 3-5 years of related industry experience.
• Knowledge of ASCE, IBC codes, and seismic conditions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex functions) and CAD programs.
• Must be based in or be able to work onsite in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AISC/CSA and CMAA.
• Experience with electric overhead traveling (EOT) cranes.
