Software Engineer - Cloud Platform (Networks) (Go/Kubernetes): Designing and maintaining the cloud networking foundation for the Aura DBaaS platform with an accent on scalability, reliability, and global performance. Focus on building Kubernetes networking infrastructure, optimizing L4/L7 proxies, and ensuring high availability across multiple cloud providers.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain the cloud networking foundation powering the Aura DBaaS solutions.
- Collaborate with the broader cloud organization to shape and deliver the cloud networking roadmap.
- Scale the networking infrastructure to handle increasing global load and functionality.
- Solve complex engineering challenges to improve platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure.
- Strong proficiency in Go.
- Experience building and operating software on Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of Cloud Networking and Kubernetes Networking fundamentals.
- Solid knowledge of DNS, TLS, mTLS, SNI, and L4/L7 Proxies (specifically Envoy).
- Experience with continuous delivery and build/deployment pipelines.
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-tenancy environments.
- Knowledge of GCP Private Service Connect or AWS/Azure PrivateLink.
- Experience writing Kubernetes Operators.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes internal networks (Cilium, eBPF, Traefik, Calico, Linkerd, Istio, Consul).
- Expertise in Kubernetes network security and architecting for high availability.
