Senior Product Designer (Marketplace)

TL;DR

Senior Product Designer (Marketplace): Designing the Listing & Finding experience for Europe's largest student rental platform with an accent on search, discovery, and user trust. Focus on driving product strategy through qualitative research, behavioral data, and AI-assisted product experiences.

Location: Hybrid (Rotterdam, Netherlands). Must be based in or able to work from the Rotterdam office (2 days per week).

Salary: €69,600 – €83,500 gross per year

What you will do

• Shape the long-term vision for the search and discovery experience.
• Lead end-to-end projects from early discovery to launch and iteration.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Research to validate ideas and challenge assumptions.
• Use behavioral data, qualitative research, and experimentation to drive design decisions.
• Improve design quality through thoughtful critiques and contributions to the design system.
• Explore and implement AI-assisted product experiences and automation workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing complex digital products.
• Strong expertise in interaction and visual design craft.
• Proven experience with marketplaces, search, or discovery products.
• Ability to frame problems and lead discovery processes.
• Confidence working with data, metrics, and experimentation.
• Hybrid presence in Rotterdam, Netherlands required.
