What you will do

• Define, implement, and iterate on SLOs and SLIs to align platform performance with business expectations.
• Lead monitoring and alerting standardization using "monitors as code" via Terraform.
• Develop observability standards across metrics, logs, and traces, utilizing OpenTelemetry where applicable.
• Define reliability and operability standards for Kubernetes-based services, including scaling patterns and rollout safety.
• Drive automation to eliminate toil, improve repeatability, and accelerate incident recovery.
• Serve as Incident Commander for high-severity incidents and lead systemic improvements through postmortems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SRE or related roles with proven technical seniority.
• Strong production experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated ability to design observability solutions that reduce alert fatigue and operational noise.
• Advanced IaC skills, specifically with Terraform, to build reusable automation and standards.
• Experience with at least two observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, New Relic, Splunk, ELK).
• Must be based in or be able to work from the office in Lisbon, Portugal.
