What you will do

• Develop and maintain tools to maximize engineering efficiency, including automating deployment infrastructure and database upgrades.
• Improve internal Developer Experience by automating manual processes and collaborating with product teams.
• Create, maintain, and test system disaster recovery processes and associated automation tooling.
• Handle production incidents, author blameless postmortems, and enrich operational playbooks.
• Manage monitoring, alerting, and SLO tracking to ensure high system reliability.
• Own cost optimization workstreams, including autoscaling policies, workload scheduling, and resource right-sizing.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK, Ireland, or Portugal.
• Software development background with experience shipping and operating production services.
• Strong fundamentals in testing, code review, CI/CD, and debugging.
• Experience working across the AWS ecosystem to design, review, and operate production systems.
• Knowledge of platform and ops concepts such as networking and Linux administration.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and monitoring tools like OpenTelemetry or Honeycomb.

• Curiosity about AI and its application in software development workflows.
