Senior Infrastructure Engineer (GCP): Designing and optimizing large-scale cloud foundations for digital journeys and Generative AI workloads with an accent on Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and scalable platforms. Focus on delivering secure GCP infrastructure using Terraform, evolving CI/CD ecosystems, and managing Kubernetes (GKE) deployments.
Location: Hybrid (Must be based in the UK and able to work from Manchester, Leeds, Halifax, Edinburgh, or Bristol at least two days per week)
Salary: £72,702 - £80,780

What you will do
- Design, build, and optimize GCP infrastructure to support digital journeys and Generative AI workloads.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and modular design patterns.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, and Groovy.
- Evolve the CI/CD ecosystem using tools such as Jenkins, Harness, and GitHub.
- Manage scalable and resilient platforms using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Collaborate with Architecture and Software Engineering teams to ensure secure and compliant cloud solutions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with a broad range of GCP services.
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform and IaC principles.
- Experience in automation scripting using Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Harness, GitHub).
- Experience managing environments with GKE or similar Kubernetes deployments.
- Must be based in the UK and able to attend one of the office sites (Manchester, Leeds, Halifax, Edinburgh, or Bristol) at least 40% of the time.
Nice to have
- Google Cloud Professional certifications.
- Experience writing security guardrails (Sentinel or similar).
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace or Cloud Monitoring.
