TL;DR

Interim Head of Data & Insights (Data Analytics): Ensuring team continuity and leadership for a multidisciplinary data team during a transition period with an accent on people management and strategic alignment. Focus on maintaining team momentum, onboarding new analysts, and preparing a seamless handover to a permanent successor.

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (minimum 3 days per week on-site)

What you will do

  • Lead and coach a multidisciplinary team of ~8 people across Data Analytics, Engineering, and Science/AI.
  • Manage the transition and structured one-month handover from the outgoing Head of Data.
  • Onboard two new Data Analysts to ensure rapid integration and productivity.
  • Align the data strategy with the COO and other senior leadership members in cross-functional forums.
  • Maintain and refine the team's roadmap and define metrics for annual objective setting.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and handover to the permanent Head of Data.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of people management experience, preferably leading multidisciplinary data teams.
  • Proven experience in interim or transitional leadership roles.
  • Strong background in Data Analytics and Analytics Engineering (non-negotiable).
  • Ability to engage credibly with Director and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to Amsterdam for at least 3 days a week.
