Senior PHP Developer (iGaming)

Location: Remote across Europe, with remote options in Czechia, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Georgia, and Armenia. Hybrid and onsite opportunities are available in Prague, Czech Republic.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize critical modules of a high-performance PHP platform.
• Own critical business domains and contribute to architectural decisions for the enterprise monolith.
• Design database and external-system integrations, efficient data models, and storage strategies.
• Optimize MySQL queries, ORM performance, and large-scale data processing, with analytical solutions using ClickHouse.
• Build asynchronous processing and reliable integrations with Apache Kafka.
• Improve observability, troubleshoot production incidents, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial PHP development experience and strong knowledge of PHP 8.x.
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, clean architecture, and large-scale backend systems.
• Professional experience with Symfony and/or Laravel, MySQL optimization, Redis, and Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of observability, logging, application profiling, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments.
• Strong ownership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse at scale, analytics, or data lake solutions.
• Experience modularizing large monolithic applications.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing.
