Student Finance Officer

Location: Hybrid role based in London, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Provide accurate financial guidance to current and prospective students about student loans.
• Support students with Student Finance applications and resolve queries about loan accounts.
• Administer Student Support Fund payments and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Process Student Loans Company changes of circumstances.
• Reconcile distributed funds and prepare management information and reports.
• Promote student finance systems and procedures to curriculum and support staff.

Requirements

• At least five GCSEs, including Mathematics and English.
• Experience working in a busy office or administrative environment.
• Experience managing, presenting, and maintaining complex data.
• Strong customer care, organisational, time-management, numerical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly in a team, liaise across departments, and supervise staff.
• Successful applicants must complete right-to-work verification and other pre-employment checks.

Nice to have

• Experience in the education sector or a student finance environment.
• Experience chasing student debt.
• Project work experience and a long-term interest in student finance.
• Resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
