What you will do

• Own the target architecture for the enterprise Policy-as-Code platform, including OPA Control Plane and policy lifecycle management.
• Define and govern architecture standards and patterns for PaC on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Design a modular PaC framework with reusable Rego libraries and cloud abstraction layers.
• Architect CI/CD automation patterns using GitHub Actions, integrating with Terraform Cloud and Kubernetes OPA Gatekeeper.
• Develop migration strategies for legacy policies and lead technical knowledge transfer for client teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to platform, policy, and DevSecOps engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA), Rego, and Enterprise OPA (EOPA).
• 5+ years of experience with Terraform, Terraform Cloud, and GCP in regulated environments.
• 5+ years of experience with GitHub Actions and pipeline-integrated validation.
• Proven experience leading enterprise architecture designs in financial services or regulated industries.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes policy enforcement and creating architecture artefacts (C4 diagrams, ADRs).
• Must be based in Toronto, Canada, for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terratest and infrastructure-level policy validation.
• Background in DevSecOps or platform engineering at scale.
• Experience designing policy frameworks used by multiple lines of business.
