Location: Hybrid (Sydney, Australia). Initially 5 days in-office, with future 4-day flexibility.

What you will do

• Oversee daily operations of the Sydney test kitchen and studio, including inventory, setup, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage the scheduling, training, and daily tasks of casual kitchen hands.
• Receive and test ingredient samples, documenting findings for sourcing and culinary teams.
• Research, test, and write nutritious, brand-aligned recipes using internal database software.
• Prepare and cook dishes for professional photoshoots in collaboration with stylists and photographers.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, test kitchen, or food business (recent graduates welcome).
• Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of cooking techniques and recipe scaling.
• Knowledge of Safe Food Handling and WHS practices.
• Digital literacy, including proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets).
• Full Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable car for local purchasing runs.

Nice to have

• Experience in a commercial studio or tracking product samples.
• Basic skills in recipe editing or proofreading.
• Familiarity with meal kit models like hirify.global or Dinnerly.
