TL;DR
Cloud Engineer I (Cloud/AWS-Azure-GCP): Designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services to support global software solutions with an accent on advanced cloud engineering, security best practices, and troubleshooting distributed applications. Focus on CI/CD enablement, cost management and optimization, and root-cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
Location: Remote (MA)
Salary: $84,200–$150,000 (expected range varies by U.S. location)

What you will do
- Design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure and services for global software solutions.
- Apply cloud security best practices (e.g., IAM, encryption, key management) to protect cloud environments.
- Build and support CI/CD workflows using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Troubleshoot distributed applications by analyzing complex systems and validating data with SQL.
- Manage and optimize cloud costs using cost management strategies.
- Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to improve cloud practices and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Work authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles.
- Advanced knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices (e.g., IAM, encryption, key management).
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Professional certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure components (Key Vault, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, Cosmos DB, and related basics).
- Experience with deployment/release tooling such as Octopus Deploy.
