What you will do

• Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for complex AI engineering initiatives.
• Design enterprise-wide AI models utilizing multimodal learning, vision encoders, and clinical data sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of data scientists, clinicians, and software engineers to integrate AI into healthcare systems.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging AI architectures, including foundation models and representation learning.
• Develop scalable and efficient data architectures to ensure the integrity and accessibility of medical data.
• Mentor junior architects and engineers within the AI enablement team.

Requirements

• Master's degree with 10 years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience in CS, engineering, or health science.
• At least 10 years of experience applying AI/ML in production healthcare environments or highly regulated industries.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript and AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Deep understanding of MLOps, data structures, algorithms, and healthcare data security.
• Must be based in the US; no visa sponsorship provided (including F1 OPT STEM).

• PhD or other doctorate degree.
• In-depth knowledge of EHR, HIPAA, GDPR, HL7, and DICOM standards.
