Staff Software Engineer (Compute Reliability)

Location: Onsite in Mountain View, California

Salary: $251,000–$310,000 USD

What you will do

• Drive the design and development of instrumentation and onboard architecture to proactively prevent and debug reliability issues.
• Implement strategies to mitigate compute hardware reliability and numerical stability issues across heterogeneous platforms.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to architect solutions preventing issues from compilers, optimization, or model changes.
• Architect frameworks to identify and eliminate complex software and firmware faults such as deadlocks and memory leaks.
• Influence the design and tooling of next-generation hardware platforms as a technical authority.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Physics, Math, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++.
• Experience with CUDA, GPU, or TPU acceleration and model reliability.
• Experience writing GPU kernels and evaluating/debugging GPU workloads.

Nice to have

• MS or PhD in a relevant technical field.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles (L4) or ADAS systems (L2/L3).
• Background in the software reliability space.
