TL;DR
Principal Software Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing AI-driven health companion services with an accent on scalability, reliability, and user experience. Focus on translating frontier AI research into production-grade features for millions of users within the consumer ecosystem.
Location: Must be based in London, UK. This is a hybrid role requiring office attendance at least four days a week.

What you will do
- Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and designers to develop a world-class AI health companion.
- Own end-to-end feature development from ideation and specification to deployment and iteration.
- Design, build, and optimize production-grade code within a large-scale architecture.
- Work independently across the full stack to deliver high-quality user experiences.
- Ensure system resilience, maintainability, and security.
- Establish engineering best practices and mentor peers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Strong software engineering experience with languages such as C#, C++, Java, Python, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Demonstrated expertise in building products at scale, including distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or GenAI.
- Proven ability to work through ambiguity in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with 0-to-1 product development with a bias toward shipping.
- Must be able to work from the designated London office at least four days a week.
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare technology or regulated medical devices.
- Passion for conversational AI and its deployment.
- Experience developing evaluation methodologies for LLM-based products.
