Senior Software Engineer – C#/.NET and APL (FinTech)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid model with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, and maintain backend functionality using APL and C#/.NET.
• Contribute to component design, code quality, performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver client-relevant investment operations functionality.
• Improve delivery through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and continuous integration.
• Investigate technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs while developing sustainable solutions.
• Share knowledge and contribute to technical discussions across the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or a related field.
• Solid experience with C#/.NET Core or Framework and backend systems, including APIs, services, and integrations.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, architecture patterns, clean code, and pragmatic problem solving.
• Familiarity with REST or streaming APIs and messaging concepts such as service bus patterns.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows.
• Ability to work with complex business logic independently and collaboratively; prior APL experience is not required.

Nice to have

• FinTech or regulated-industry experience.
• Exposure to vector-based or functional languages.
• Experience with Azure services or cloud-based development.
• Experience mentoring engineers or owning a component.
