Data Governance & Quality Lead (Maritime): Establishing and enforcing foundational data policies, standards, and processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security across the entire data lifecycle with an accent on data ownership, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance. Focus on partnering with engineering and supply chain stakeholders to enable reliable analytics for next-generation shipbuilding operations.
Location: Must be a permanent EU citizen. Hybrid role with up to two days per week working from home; based in Vlissingen, Netherlands.

What you will do
- Define and maintain data ownership, quality rules, and risk profiles within established governance frameworks.
- Partner with engineers, project managers, and supply chain stakeholders to align data needs with business decision-making.
- Monitor key data metrics and support data stewards in validating and cleansing datasets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate data-related risks such as breaches or misuse.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on data quality best practices and issue resolution.
- Document methodologies and processes to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are mandatory due to the military nature of projects.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or a relevant field with 6+ years of experience.
- 3+ years of experience in program or project management, specifically in data governance or quality.
- Strong foundation in data management principles and regulatory frameworks like GDPR and ISO.
- English proficiency (written and verbal) is required.
- Engineering mindset with familiarity in Lean Six Sigma or process improvement methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience in the maritime, defense, or related engineering industries.
- Proficiency in the Dutch language.
