User Experience Designer & Researcher

TL;DR

User Experience Designer & Researcher (Product Design): Designing and refining end-to-end user experiences for digital scientific publishing products with an accent on user research, interaction design, and evidence-based iteration. Focus on translating complex requirements into intuitive interfaces and collaborating across product and engineering teams to drive user-centered design.

Location: Must be based in Madrid, Spain (Hybrid role).

What you will do

• Plan and execute end-to-end interaction design from initial sketches to high-fidelity prototypes.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to inform design decisions and validate product improvements.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to align on product requirements and user needs.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity interfaces using Figma.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure consistent, scalable design implementation.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in interaction design, UX, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping.
• Proven ability to plan and conduct user research sessions independently.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS to facilitate effective collaboration with engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Relevant educational background in UX, Psychology, Interaction Design, or Ergonomics.
