Freelance Event Specialist (Events)

Location: On-site in Singapore, Singapore; candidates must already be based in Singapore. This is an in-person, per-event contract role with local travel, flexible hours, and occasional nights and weekends. No relocation packages are offered.

Salary: Competitive hourly rate.

What you will do

• Prepare for events through virtual planning meetings with corporate, nonprofit, venue, and hirify.global partners.
• Set up, coordinate, and break down in-person events, including cleaning event areas and repackaging materials.
• Lead onsite event operations and represent hirify.global as the primary problem solver.
• Align responsibilities across hosts, nonprofit organizations, venues, staff, and corporate partners.
• Manage guest check-in and provide a welcoming, high-quality customer experience.
• Share event updates, photos, and videos, escalate issues, and handle supplies, staffing, technology, and shipping logistics.

Requirements

• Fluent English and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be based in Singapore, Singapore and available for contract work on an as-needed, per-event basis.
• Experience delivering complex large-scale events and intimate executive-level events.
• Strong organization, resourcefulness, customer service, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with group facilitation, managing group dynamics, and working with large crowds.
• Ability to work flexible hours, travel locally, lift, slide, and carry up to 30 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
