What you will do

• Write functional and design specifications for system software managing hardware components.
• Implement solutions using C, C++, and Python.
• Develop and execute automated test programs for feature validation.
• Debug and resolve issues found in automated tests or reported from customer networks.
• Collaborate with the SONiC community to upstream code and test changes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project scheduling and reporting.

Requirements

• BSc, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years of related post-graduate work experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX or Linux environments.
• Understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, or IS-IS.
• Ability to design and implement solutions for system-level problems independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with ethernet bridging or routing software development.
• Knowledge of distributed systems infrastructure (messaging, databases, CLI).
• Experience with packet forwarding engines and vendor-provided hardware libraries.
