Software Engineer (Java)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Java): Building and maintaining Index & Analytics products for global customers with an accent on high-performance, low-latency distributed systems. Location: Must be based in Vilnius, Lithuania (Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office required).

Salary: 3,250–4,100 EUR gross monthly.

What you will do

• Develop new sophisticated functionality while maintaining existing codebase.
• Design and build core backend systems primarily using Java.
• Contribute across the full product lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Support highly available, low-latency distributed systems.
• Collaborate with international teams in Stockholm and the UK.

Requirements

• Must be based in Vilnius, Lithuania or willing to work from the office 3 days/week.
• Experience in developing distributed backend applications, preferably in Java.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Excellent working proficiency in English.
• Clean criminal record in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania.

Nice to have

• Experience building scalable solutions in AWS.
• Familiarity with cloud or hybrid deployments.
• Experience working in agile, cross-border engineering teams.
