TL;DR
Accountant (General Accounting): Supporting monthly, quarter-end, and year-end financial close through journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting schedules with an accent on US GAAP compliance, intercompany accounting, and variance analysis. Focus on analyzing large datasets, resolving balance sheet reconciling items, strengthening internal controls, and coordinating with auditors and cross-functional departments.

What you will do
- Support the monthly, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close processes.
- Prepare, review, and upload journal entries and required consolidation data in Cognos.
- Prepare accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules.
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement variances, investigate account differences, and propose resolutions.
- Support intercompany transactions, process improvements, policy documentation, and internal control development.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments and internal and external auditors on accounting analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 2–5 years of professional accounting experience with strong accounting skills.
- Fluent English required.
- Working knowledge of general accounting functions, practices, and US GAAP principles.
- Basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and intermediate functions.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Public accounting experience.
- Experience in a global organization or software industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP and Cognos.
- IMCP or US CPA qualification.
