Flight Systems Technician

Salary: $20.00 - $24.00/hour

What you will do

• Assemble, test, and maintain custom aerial camera equipment using specialized tools and software.
• Evaluate aerial image quality, identify root causes of issues, and propose technical solutions.
• Collaborate with development and software engineers to troubleshoot hardware and improve internal tools.
• Document service history and hardware deployment in the asset tracking system.
• Setup and test new or modified custom capture hardware.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement within the Flight Systems Laboratory.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in Rochester, NY.
• Hands-on experience building mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to lift and move 40 pounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Degree in a Science, Technology, or Manufacturing discipline.
• Familiarity with digital photography principles and camera construction.
• Basic knowledge of Python.
• Experience managing team goals and initiatives.
