Software Engineer / Data Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Software Engineer / Data Engineer (Python/Fintech): Migrating production data pipelines from legacy environments into a modern cloud-native data platform with an accent on domain-oriented data products and embedded governance. Focus on executing complex migrations on Databricks and integrating AI-based tools for data quality and compliance.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable ETL and ELT data pipelines.
• Lead the migration of data assets and workloads to a modern cloud-based platform built on Databricks.
• Optimize Snowflake data models for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate AI/LLM-enabled capabilities and support MCP servers.
• Contribute to cloud-native application design and deployment.

Requirements

• 4+ years (Mid) or 10+ years (Senior) of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or data platform development.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure.
• Proven experience working on platform migration or modernization initiatives.
• Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL, with working knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• Ability to work from an existing design and deliver independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Experience with medallion architecture or layered data platform models.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG patterns, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Experience using Streamlit to build GenAI interfaces.
• Exposure to MCP server development or integration.
