What you will do

• Lead enterprise security strategy and architecture across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Develop and execute a security architecture roadmap aligned with organizational goals and frameworks like NIST, OWASP, ISO, and CIS.
• Drive DevSecOps adoption and secure CI/CD integration using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Azure Policy.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response planning for Azure and hybrid systems.
• Guide identity and access management (IAM), network segmentation, and encryption strategies.
• Mentor architects and engineers to foster a secure-by-design culture across the IT organization.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US (referencing Birmingham, AL location and US-specific benefits).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Systems, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 2+ years in a senior or lead security architecture role.
• Proven expertise in Azure security tools (Sentinel, Defender, Key Vault, Entra ID, Azure Firewall).
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps and automating security controls in Azure.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge of zero-trust architecture and container security.
• Understanding of AI/ML security concepts.
• Experience with multi-cloud security (AWS, GCP).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or Azure Security Specialty.
