Software Product Assurance Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Munich, Germany. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship available.

The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle for cargo and potentially human transport.

What you will do

• Establish and maintain SW PA&S requirements in compliance with NASA/ESA standards.
• Develop and implement a SW Quality Assurance Program based on NASA-STD-8739.8.
• Conduct independent evaluations of software processes and verification and validation (V&V) activities.
• Manage SW nonconformities, deviations, and critical items within the risk management process.
• Oversee configuration management processes and software integration with hardware.
• Plan and execute project software audits and trade studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical sciences.
• Experience in software or product assurance within aerospace, aviation, or defense industries.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for development and scripting.
• Strong skills in software lifecycle evaluation, configuration management, and V&V.
• Working fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NASA standards (NASA-STD-8739.8 and NASA-GB-8719.13).
• Expertise in Git, GitHub, or GitLab for source code management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of software testing frameworks (googletest, gmock) and static analysis tools (SonarQube, Coverity).
