TL;DR
Senior Java Developer (Gamedev): Building and maintaining robust, scalable backend services for high-grossing mobile games with an accent on microservices architecture and system reliability. Focus on designing end-to-end solutions, resolving production incidents, and leveraging AI tools to enhance development productivity.
Location: Hybrid role, must be based in or able to commute to Warsaw, Poland (3 days/week in office)

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services aligned with business requirements.
- Take end-to-end ownership of service lifecycles from design to monitoring and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product managers and architects to deliver new features and technical designs.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents to ensure system stability.
- Drive improvements in code quality, testing practices, and development processes.
- Actively build and leverage AI agents to scale personal and team productivity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong expertise in Java Core, multithreading, and Java 8+ features.
- Solid experience with the Spring stack (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data).
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
- Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers) and CI/CD tools.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for production support.
Nice to have
- Experience with NoSQL databases like Redis or Aerospike.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
