What you will do

• Design and develop embedded microprocessor and microcontroller-based PCB assemblies.
• Develop and document electronic modules and systems using digital and analogue design.
• Perform schematic capture and hardware debugging down to the component level.
• Create test specifications and reports, supporting unit, integration, and systems testing.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to provide effort estimates and schedule updates.
• Mentor junior engineers and resolve issues for existing devices.

Requirements

• Honours Degree (minimum 2.1 or higher).
• Over 5 years of experience developing MCU and/or FPGA based products.
• Proficiency in USB devices and Design for EMC compliance.
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital design methodologies.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Dundee, UK.

Nice to have

• FPGA (Verilog/VHDL) design knowledge.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro or Altium Designer.
• Knowledge of stepper and DC motor control or USB compliance.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (DDR, LVDS) and industrial-grade design.
• Software development skills.
