What you will do

• Design and maintain features in a React Native and Expo application, including screens, navigation, and state management.
• Build performance-sensitive UI and native module integrations used by millions of shoppers daily.
• Prototype new in-app experiences in weekly sprints and iterate based on live merchant validation.
• Own features end-to-end across the React Native client, React/Next.js content layer, and backend services.
• Optimize bundle size, startup time, and accessibility while contributing to reusable, type-safe component patterns.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience building production apps with React Native and TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of the Expo framework and strong React fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability to work across the stack, including React/Next.js and backend services.
• Must be based in one of the eligible US states (AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, ME, MI, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA).
• This position is not eligible for visa transfer or sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with native modules (Swift/Kotlin) or bridging native and web layers.
• Backend experience with Node.js, GraphQL, and cloud deployments.
• Experience within the Shopify or e-commerce ecosystem.
• Background in building design systems or product/UX design critique.
