What you will do

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SQL Server instances across production, testing, and development environments.
• Monitor database health and capacity, proactively tuning queries and indexes to meet performance targets.
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies, including regular restore validation.
• Triage and execute internal database requests, including ad-hoc queries and environment refreshes.
• Plan and execute recurring production data releases across multiple product lines and servers.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize schemas and automate routine DBA tasks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server database administration experience.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and views.
• Solid understanding of backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting using PowerShell or SQL Agent jobs.
• Experience managing scheduled production release cycles across multiple environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Mirroring, and Replication.
• Experience administering cloud-hosted SQL Server databases.
