What you will do

• Design and implement core systems and features within Unreal Engine using C++.
• Optimize systems for performance, memory usage, and scalability across supported platforms.
• Collaborate with designers and artists to integrate features across multidisciplinary teams.
• Debug complex runtime issues and perform profiling and performance analysis.
• Mentor junior programmers through technical guidance and code reviews.
• Contribute to the overall technical architecture and long-term project direction.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of professional game programming experience with shipped titles or equivalent production experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and professional, hands-on experience with Unreal Engine.
• Deep understanding of real-time systems, including memory management and scalability.
• Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Git.
• Ability to attend in-person interviews at an hirify.global location in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience working on AAA or large-scale game productions.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine source code and engine-level customization.
• Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers.
• Strong understanding of gameplay systems and player experience.
