Cybersecurity Engineer

What you will do

• Conduct in-depth security audits and weekly automated network vulnerability scans using ACAS and Nessus.
• Maintain strict configuration status accounting and generate reports to prevent unauthorized drift.
• Monitor the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) alerting pipeline.
• Build and maintain system resilience through periodic Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises.
• Write and maintain automated remediation scripts in PowerShell or Bash to close configuration gaps.
• Support DevSecOps by reviewing security control gates, container scanning, and validating Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

Requirements

• Active Department of Defense Top Secret/SCI (Tier 5 Investigation) clearance required.
• Must be able to work on-site at Scott Air Force Base, IL.
• Active DoD 8570.01-M / DoDM 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, or CCNA Security).
• Active Tenable Certified Nessus Auditor or official ACAS Administrator certification.
• Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) Cyber 101 course completion.
• 6–9 years of systems administration and engineering experience in a routed/switched DoD enterprise environment.
