Cybersecurity Specialist (Zero Trust)

What you will do

• Design and implement Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) aligned with NIST SP 800-207.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments like AWS GovCloud and Kubernetes.
• Support Authority to Operate (ATO) and continuous ATO (cATO) processes.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to embed security-as-code practices.
• Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM platforms like Splunk or Datadog.
• Enforce identity and access management (IAM) policies and multi-factor authentication.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Strong understanding of NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP frameworks.
• Experience with vulnerability management, risk assessment, and threat modeling.
• Familiarity with container security and DevSecOps integration.

Nice to have

• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or Zero Trust.
• Experience supporting VA, DoD Platform One, or similar federal environments.
• Knowledge of TIC 3.0 and federal Zero Trust maturity models.
• Experience with policy-as-code tools like OPA or Conftest.
