What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and orchestration services to deliver personalized recommendations and content.
• Build service layers that integrate ML model outputs (retrieval, rankings, scores) into production user experiences.
• Apply GenAI to enhance personalization through the implementation of AI Agents and Agent Memory.
• Optimize services for low latency, high throughput, and reliability using caching and graceful degradation strategies.
• Partner with Product Management and ML teams to support A/B testing, feature flags, and model versioning.
• Collaborate with Principal Architects and Data Engineering to align service design with platform standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience building backend services in production environments.
• Strong expertise in API design and service-oriented architectures.
• Proficiency in one or more modern backend languages: Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Proven ability to design systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Nice to have

• Experience building personalization, recommendation, or search services.
• Familiarity with ML model serving and inference pipelines.
• Knowledge of caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and message-driven systems.
