What you will do

• Operate and monitor optical processing equipment including CNC milling, grinding, polishing, and coating machines.
• Handle delicate optical components and inspect for defects using advanced metrology tools.
• Maintain workplace safety, tooling, and 5S standards in a clean room environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve operational efficiency and quality.
• Document and escalate any unsafe conditions or quality concerns promptly.
• Assist in training new and existing employees and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be eligible to access controlled technology as per US Export Administration Regulations.
• High school diploma or GED required; vocational associate degree preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing or vocational certification preferred; familiarity with measuring equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, CMM, interferometer is desirable.
• Willingness to work night shifts on a compressed schedule (12-hour shifts, 3-4 days per week).
• Ability to work in a clean room wearing required protective gear and handle physical demands including lifting up to 35 pounds.
