What you will do

• Lead the installation, modification, and maintenance of wafer processing equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Develop and deploy factory control strategies using automation, sensors, and AI-driven monitoring solutions.
• Integrate data collection systems using Python and SQL to enhance tool performance and decision-making.
• Build and support lightweight AI models for anomaly detection and predictive maintenance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to solve complex manufacturing issues and drive root cause investigations.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide support to technicians and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, Materials, Physics, or IT) with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent advanced degree.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor or wafer manufacturing equipment (Photolithography, Plating, Metrology, or Inspection).
• Proficiency in programming or scripting (Python, SQL, R).
• Experience with statistical analysis tools (JMP, Minitab, Six Sigma).
• Must be able to work onsite in Bloomington/Edina, MN.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating sensors, edge devices, or data acquisition systems.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to equipment monitoring.
• Background in upgrading legacy tools with modern controls.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, or DMAIC methodologies.
